Base Formula: Recommended Weight = Body Weight × (Base Percentage + Experience + Season + Terrain Adjustments)

  • Day Hike: 8% of body weight
  • Weekend Trip: 12% of body weight
  • Multi-Day: 15% of body weight
  • Long Distance: 18% of body weight
